Job Description:

Our company is looking for a Travel Advisor Intern to help us grow our database of adventure/sustainable travel opportunities worldwide. You’ll scour the internet, call tourism ministers, email tour operators and chat with other travel companies about their trips. You’ll select the best of the best to include on our travel internet site and then create their profiles so they appear on our website. At the same time, you’ll interact with a dynamic team of recent grads, industry professionals and overall cool people.

The Travel Advisor Intern responsibilities will include:

• Identify sustainable resorts and tours around the world
• Screen for sustainability and Whole Travel fit
• Create supplier profiles in the Whole Travel database
• Educate suppliers about sustainability and how to improve their businesses
• Find new media outlets, including interesting blogs, social networks, etc.

Skills that the Travel Advisor Inter should possess include:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Interest in sustainability and working in a tight-knit team environment
• Flexibility to take on various roles – it’s a startup so you’ll get a bit of everything!
• Foreign language knowledge is a plus
