Job Description:

As a Tourism Guide Intern, this position will be perfect for those students interested in pursuing a career in any field of travel or tourism. This internship is fore a creative, hard-working student desiring real-world experience in the tourism field. Candidates must be enthusiastic, diligent, and resourceful Junior or Senior students in business, marketing, advertising, economics, business or other relevant field. Your daily tasks will include the following:

• Assist and create FIT itineraries for existing and new clients
• Assist clients and make sure delivery of product compiles with itinerary
• Research and correlate market specific data for core business competencies
• Create a detailed database of agents in home country and specific market contacts for each competency
• Compile corporate contact forms into a detailed database
• Once markets have been identified, approach and introduce company to new contacts
• Assist in the development of new products based on market research
• Optimize delivery of "product" to clients according to market research

Successful interns should possess the following background characteristics:

• Experience in tourism, hospitality or other service industry
• Fluent English skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible, proactive & forward thinking
• Computer literacy
