Job Description:

This studio is seeing a Production Assistant Intern to work in our independent production sound studio. We’re driven by a belief that the right stories told in revolutionary ways can transform society. While other agencies work to sell products, we work to sell ideas that build a more just and sustainable world. Our studio is relaxed, energetic, dog friendly and highly productive. We have fun and work hard, with occasional long hours in the face of deadlines. We are seeking a candidate who is able to commit to working at least 35 hours a week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist with scheduling of staff and freelancer resources
• Assisting producer with project schedules, keeping members of creative team (both free range staff and freelancers) updated on schedule changes
• Interfacing with freelancers regarding schedules and deliverables
• Working with producer to keep project calendars updated
• Manage, organize and archive FR film resources and files for both internal and external uses
• Updating scripts for current and past film projects
• Keeping project files organized with updated scripts, art work, project notes
• Keeping copies of movies organized and updated on servers and on FR website
• Assisting in exporting final movie files both in Flash and QT
• Oversee departmental administrative tasks
• Conduct media research and curation (including both sound/music and images) for various projects
• Set up, prepare and organize logistics for client and other in-office meetings and events

Qualifications and skills for this internship include:

• Experience with both live-action film production and animation production highly desirable
• Ability to anticipate needs/questions before they come up, self-starter, yet also willing/able to follow-direction accurately and quickly
• Excellent diplomacy and communications skills
• High attention to detail a must
• Fluency in Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of Flash, After Effects and Final Cut Pro
• Willingness to jump in and help on whatever needs doing!
