Job Description:

The Audio Visual (A/V) Student Intern, under direct supervision will work with Media Coordinator to design, coordinate, produce and distribute audio and video media programs and services. This position is responsible for all aspects of media projects including pre-production, production, post-production phases through delivery of completed product to the customer.

 

This exciting internship includes the following responsibilities:

 

  • 50% Work with Media coordinator to create/edit media to support Information Services and other internal departments within Training & Communications areas as well as corporate charities.
  • 30% Aid in photography for department events and still photos for training projects.
  • 20% Assist Media Coordinator with setup & tear down of sets and productions

 

The intern will be involved and gain experience working on many projects within different media including:

 

  • Experience in film making and editing
  • Experience with green screen technology a plus
  • Photography experience (Photoshop)
  • Experience with Final Cut

 

Qualifications for the successful intern include:

 

  • Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, related software and audio visual equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Entry level Audio / Video technical skills including digital video editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt and communicate information to a wide range of audiences and situations
  • Communications major with video emphasis
