Job Description:

Any student interested in the field of writing for a living will be excited to pursue this opportunity for a Newspaper Journalism Intern. We plan to fill the position with an energetic journalist who has reporting and writing skills, can produce copy on deadline and is open to a non-traditional news internship.

The position entails:

• Covering breaking news, governmental news and features in the London suburbs
• Writing stories
• Maintaining a reporter’s blog
• Creating and assisting in the production of multimedia features – such as slideshows, photo galleries, video presentations
• About 30 hours per week, depending on demand of the breaking news
• Newsroom in London, England

Job requirements for the Newspaper Journalism Intern include:

• Strong reporting and writing skills
• Reliable transportation to the office and willingness to travel within the city by Metro or Bus
• Some experience in digital photography is helpful
• Taken courses in journalism, communications or a related field
• The ability to work some nights and weekends, as dictated by the news
• An excellent work ethic, including good interpersonal skills and the willingness to adapt to a changing environment
