Job Description:

This newspaper company and its TV affiliate in London is looking for a Photojournalist Intern who can shoot, write, edit, and run with a live news truck. This company is building an Information Center full of journalists that have beats and work with a progressive digital team. Strong candidates understand how news video exists on three screens (television, internet, mobile), and are prepared to produce all three. Photojournalist Interns assist in operating various microwave/edit remote trucks for live coverage of events as needed, plus run standard field equipment and all issued video/audio support accessory gear. Interns will emphasize creative storytelling of the highest journalistic standards.

Interns should have the ability to operate non-linear edit systems; encode video for web and mobile distribution and operate and set up various microwave/edit remote trucks for live coverage of events. Successful candidate demonstrates a professional demeanor at all times and is able to work as a team player with the entire news staff. Must maintain and be responsible for all issued station equipment and vehicles in accordance with stated policies.
