Job Description:

This company is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern to participate within the IT Department and assist the helpdesk support team. The intern will help support a Windows based server and desktop environment. The position is based in our headquarters in and will work 5 days a week.

The IT Intern will assist in the following activities on a daily basis:

• Assists the IT Support team in supporting its hardware, software and end user environment
• Tracks all IT requests using the internal ticketing system
• Successfully troubleshoots and manages desktops, printers, servers and office application issues as directed by the IT Support Team
• Resolves incoming IT support requests and issues in a timely manner
• Performs all other duties assigned as part of a cooperative team effort

Successful interns should have the following skills:

• Enrollment in a technical degree for Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field of study
• Novice level experience and desire to learn and participate in some of the technologies including Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Office Suite 2003 and 2007, Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics, Microsoft CRM etc
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, customer service, and technical skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to focus on assigned tasks
• Positive, self-confident and professional disposition
• Ability to be a self-starter and quickly grasp delegated tasks with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work for a partial or entire day within the regular working hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
