Job Description:

This Catering Internship would be great for anyone pursuing a career as an event coordinator or as a culinary artist. Essential job functions include:

• Assisting in managing the flow of catering business
• Take orders via phone
• Prepare orders for the client
• Assist in delivering orders to the client
• Some sales work, including sales presentations and cold calls to repeat and new business.
• Be accountable for proper and correct order fulfillment
• Compile and maintain customer file and database for tracking

Job requirements for this internship include:

• Able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
• Ability to work well under pressure and resolve customer issues
• Professional appearance and demeanor

The successful intern will possess the following qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - you will be using your own vehicle
• Excellent organization, customer service and time management skills
• Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
• Work well under pressure and be able to work with a diverse group of people
• Previous inside or outside sales experience a plus
