Job Description:

The Booking Intern will work with reservations and bookings for a regional band on the cusp of making it big! If you are up for an adventure and some odd hours, this may be the perfect internship for you. Job duties for this position are varied and will include:

• Assist in marketing efforts for all concerts and events, including securing and maintaining trade advertisement opportunities.
• Work all third party events, dealing with media, distributing credentials, escorting photographers, providing press releases and artist information, and assisting tour manager as needed
• Assist with internal marketing efforts by maintaining website updates, marquee, and video board spots
• Participate in grassroots efforts to promote shows, including flyering during non-business hours, attending festivals/city events as needed and utilizing online communities (MySpace, Facebook).
• Responsible for general office tasks such as accounts payable, processing invoices/accounting, answering the switchboard, filing, faxing, copying, etc.
• Assist the director, manager, group sales coordinator and booking coordinator on other projects as needed.

Successful interns will have the following qualifications:

• College student, junior or senior with a business, communications, advertising or marketing major
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
• Eager and open to learn
