Job Description:

This Architectural Internship will give the qualified candidates a unique opportunity to engage the field of architecture from an empowering perspective. Not only will the candidate leave with traditional architectural experience, but will have a hand in managing youth architectural workshops. These workshops are designed to introduce the field of architecture to inner-city youth. You will be teaching the fundamentals of drawings, modeling and computer aided drafting and design within an internationally recognized award winning program. Empower others as you are empowered while gaining the extra drive and experience that will propel you through your academic career.

Responsibilities include:

• Attending staff meetings
• Programming, communicating, and scheduling meeting space
• Working with youth during workshops
• Building models
• Freehand sketching with students

Successful candidates will possess:

• Ability to apply a creative vision to architectural practice
• Must have the ability to work with students
• Ability to represent ideas with the use of visual aids such as drawings and models.
• Communication ability, both oral and written
• Past experience with youth helpful
